Daily Redemption
I have been struggling for months to decide which blog to write in and what and how much to share. I have decided, for now, that lighter family fare is in The Bird Ranch. For all those who wish to float on the surface of family life at the Ranch, there you will be, enjoying the gentle currents. For those who wish to dive into deeper waters...read on here. Friends and family be advised, these are deep waters and there is no lifeguard. I cannot predict when the waters will rise and fall and the waves appear. Swim at your own risk! And know I love you!

Why?
My husband says I have an unusual need to know "why"? I do want to know why. I would love to ask God "why" on a lot of things. Why does He give us clear answers on some things, and on others, he is silent? Why is our world so messed up, and why has he not ended it already? Why did Jesus have to die? I know why, but I mean why did it have to be THAT way when God can do anything? Why do some children get to be born in America into a home with two parents and enough to eat (like mine) and some children lose both parents to war and go to bed hungry and scared every night? Why do some dogs live in the lap of luxury and some people live outside in a box? Why are family relationships so challenging, but it is so easy to laugh and do for a casual friend? Why is prayer life so fruitful sometimes and other times it's dry as a bone. Mostly, I want to know why it so hard to be a person walking around on this planet, and why is the road to Heaven so long?

Teamwork
I have decided God must have known it would take a host of heavenly bodies to help us here on planet earth. Assembled for my daily personal mangement team are as follows...God plans the whole thing and organizes the day. The Holy Spirit tells me what the plans are and gives me direction ( and enthusiasm) as needed . The Blessed Mother Mary babysits the kids. Various saints are on my friends and family calling plan. My Guardian Angel is on speed dial. Jesus holds my hand throughout it all.
Works very well....when I remember to call in the team. What a mess when I think I can go it alone!
Blessings

The journey begins
Welcome to my blog! This is my first foray into blogging. Hopefully the blog will become more interesting as I go along. I am interested to see where it goes myself!
I am unapologetically and gratefully Catholic. I am a stay at home Mom and have been for twenty years, also unapologetically and gratefully! I have four wonderful, smart and witty kids. Their Dad, who is also all of the above-including the kid part- and I have been married twenty one years and it has been a journey around the world, and also the Church!
I being the cradle Catholic, settled into a mediocre faith life over the years and kids. DH converted after we were married ten years. He wanted to make sure and took his time!
Many things have happend over several more years and most recently that have taken me from medocrity of Faith, to over the top, can't stop talking about the Lord, joy filled obnoxiosly Catholic Catholic!
There is a lot I want to share, from the journey to this blessed place to my everyday awakenings and observations. My family is growing in Faith as well and it is a joy to watch. Some of you know my story, and hopefully a few more will be interested in how God has turned me around and upside down. Shall we walk this road together?
Welcome and God bless!
